I’ve been enjoying my daily sketches, as a simple practice, nothing extravagant or perfect. This evening I went down to my overgrown and wet herb garden, searching for some plants that might want to make it to my sketchbook. A wide swath of grass and herbs had been trampled down, accompanied by a distinctive musk: bear. We have been losing chickens to this bear, which is probably the same that my husband and son saw just down the road. A sow and two cubs. I half-wished to see her. What a sketch that could make! Maybe some other time.
