HomeNature Journaldaily sketch: raincloud

Here is Tuesday’s daily sketch of a raincloud that dropped heavy rain upon us as we drove into Asheville.  We were at the edge of its domain, and could see beyond the rain to the blue sky and white cumulus towers beyond.  This one would make a fun painting!

I didn’t get to sketch yesterday as we spent the entire day buying a new-to-us minivan.  The kids are super-psyched about it, and I’ve already got adventures planned.  It’s like a bus!  We will be taking it up to Boston in early August, and then to Acadia National Park.  I need to practice moving in reverse with our  pop-up camper attached.  Tricky stuff, but essential, because I’ll be captain of the ship for our return journey.  My husband will be flying home from Boston and we’ll be trekking down to Shenandoah National Park from there without him.  Fun!
