BRP #2: Pine Sings to Sky, pastel by Stephanie Berry, part of her Blue Ridge Parkway Series

It’s summer, the season of highly expressive clouds.

I found this scene at Deerlick Gap, which is very near Little Switzerland, NC. I was captivated by the way the pine tree lifted her boughs up to the sky in with such gentle curves as marvelous cumulus clouds sailed overhead.

This is painting (or dusting) number two in my Blue Ridge Parkway Series.
